What we collect

SecLookup has no user accounts, sets no cookies and shows no advertising.

Server logs. Like most web servers, it writes a technical access log of each request (time, requested path including the search query, and response time). These logs are used only to operate and secure the Service, and are not sold or shared.

Usage analytics. Pages load a small analytics script from analytics.polpo-8.com, run by the operator of this site. It records which pages are viewed (the page path, without the search query), the referring page, campaign tags in the address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and how long the page was visible. To count unique visitors and visits it stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage and another in session storage. These identifiers are not linked to your name, e-mail or account, and the data is not sold or shared with advertisers. You can clear them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, or block the script with a content blocker.

Search queries

All searches run against a local database on this server. Queries are never forwarded to NVD, MITRE, OWASP or any other third party, and the analytics script does not receive them.
